SOCKS5 / HTTP Proxy

rite can anyone help me, im in my university and i cannot connect to DC++ because of my university network doesnt allow me to connect me.
Although, i can connect to softwares which use the HTTP Proxy.. unfortunately DC++ doesnt use HTTP, instead it can only be connected through SOCKS5 and i have no idea how to connect using that... can anyone help me?
