I have noticed an ugly problem related to the hash dupecheck.
It seems that in DVDR releases alot of groups just take 1 of the rar-files... rename it to .vob and use it as a sample for the release. Which means we suddenly got 2 files with same hash that we DO want to share.
I don't want this thread to evolve into some pro-con rar discussion, so please... just don't.
What I need is a solution to the problem, cause even if you don't share original.. ALOT of ppl do... especially when it comes to big DVDR movies.
I have been thinking of a possible solution... ofcourse.. there should be no exceptions that could be easily abused by others.
Is it possible to do this: Make the dupefiles NOT count to the sharesize.. so fakers can't raise their share with dupe files... BUT still be able to download the file that was not counted in the sharesize?
