Burning?

Can anyone put my mind at rest about the order of my tracl list when setting up for burning.
Example: I downloaded 15 tracks, but when using MP3toolz to convert them, one of the files was corrupt, so I downloaded the track again from a differant user. Deleted the bad track and put in the good track.
However. I noticed that when the program was converting the 15 tracks, it did not read them in order. it read the track I had substituted last.
Would this have something to do with the date the files were made,
and would this make any difference to the order of the tracks when put onto disc?

it probably put them in order of the filename and/or the track number in the ID3 field. If you have a good burning program, you should be able to move the track order around.

what is a good program to burn with where I can move the tracks around.
We have alcohol 120 and Nero 6

NERO is a damn good program I use and its never failed me. You can optimize your recordings, burn in mp3, avi, wav, and set how you want the burning to go.

Another good tool to use to "tidy up your tracks" is Aquistika mp3 audio. Allows you to wipe out all the hissing cracks and whistles, lets you put your tracks in what order you want them in, and even allows you to cut your tracks into seperate tracks, that is if your audio file is like a 80 min mix.

ID3 is the name of a standard way of putting artist, song name, album, date, genre, and comment into a MP3 file.


The point being that pay software like Nero or even free software like EAC will let you reorder tracks before burning them.
