.nrg disk images not burning properly

Post by 4johnny » 2005-01-17 14:37

after downloading a number of .nrg images, I try to burn them with nero and get disk has successfully burned, however the disk is then blank afterwards. I have tried the cd in multiple computers and it always shows as blank. something has been burned to the cd because I can physically see something has been written to the back of the disk, but nothing displays in explorer.

it has also happened with a few other images (.mdfs and ..cue/bins) as well. I have also tried burning with other programs such as fireburner and various others with the same results.

so I'm wondering if the images are fake? or if I'm not using the correct procedure to burn?

any recommendations??

thanks

yes,
I have the finalize option checked when burning.

btw, are there any tools out there to check the integrity of an image before wasting a disk on the burn?

thanks

Daemon Tools will let you mount a number of CD image types as real CDs on your desktop. Perhaps the image itself is empty.
