how do i open .dctmp files

hello all
i have downloaded many things from dc++ and its worked fine i have downloaded some vids from dc++ recently and they have gone from my unfinished folder and into my finshed folder the file changes from dctmp,in to .mpg .avi.wma but for some reason it does not play it just crashes the program i try to use to open it,i have the relavent codecs the files im tryin to play says they or mpg avi and wma,if i use wimap i can hear the sound but no pic and it stutters,some of the files i have had before and it play no porblem i think its got some thing to do with the fact it was a dctmp file to start with,i know i have the right codecs and other plugins cos i could view these file type before no problems and to be honnest winmplayer and winamp both play .mpg .mp3.wma and .avi as standard.if any 1 could help me with this i cant explain how much id love em

What has codec got to do with filetype ? You can just rename vids from one type to another and they will always normally play without error.
Try VLC Player, available from all good search engines.

(btw while winamp can play video's, it generally sucks at it)

i have tried renamin the file to .avi .mpg .wma ill tyr the program u said ill get in touch
