Which routers are stable and won't disconnect?

Post by goldfish2 » 2006-01-23 13:15

Can somebody tell me which is the best adsl router to choose that will provide a stable connection that doesn't drop intermitently when using dc++. At the moment I'm using the Belkin pre-n wireless router but I'm going to have to change it to run as an access point only and get another router to do the job as it can't seem to handle the number of connections that open up and it thinks it's under attack and shuts down, loosing internet connection across the whole network. the port forwarding is all set up correctly and I've tried DMZ and disabling the firewall altogether and still no joy. It will work for maybe a day and then disconnect.

Which routers are everyone else using? which can handle the number of connections that p2p programs open up without droping connection?
Don't care how much they cost - just want something that is going to work, as its driving me crazy....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
