Unable to see all files in share

I am having trouble seeing all the files in some users shares.
Several times I have downloaded all the files that I can see in a folder for a dvd, but dvdshrink tells me that a vob file is missing.

When I check with the user they tell me that all files are shared in the folder, including the one I need - but I can not see that file.

Any ideas?
