Post by momodig » 2006-11-09 23:25

It seems when I upgraded in the past to a new version I lost my entired "Download Que" now I'm afraid to upgrade again because I don't want to loose my "Download Que" is there a way around this? I also loose "Favorite Hubs" I'm using version .674
Thanks

This time when you upgrade to .698 you will lose your sources for the items in your download queue, but your queued files will not be removed. Sources can be found again fairly easily with autosearch enabled. Your favorite hubs will remain intact.

Queued files are the actual files you are downloading, source items are the actual users you download off. So if you have no sources it means the items are still in the queue, but with no users to download from. You can add sources manually by right clicking the files in your queue, selecting 'Search for alternatives', and selecting 'Match queue' if any results come up. Or as Xan1977 said you can get DC++ to add new sources automatically.

upgrade

Still abit confused autosearch? I have about 50 different albums waiting to download in Download Que, should I wait till all those files are downloaded before I upgrade to the newer version? I just don't want to have to search for the albums all over again, simply cause I have 50 or so waiting to be dl'd
thanks
