Yea, they closed up shop. From what I understand we won't be seeing any more releases from them. :(

(sry i posted in the wrong section)

Either that or they're just not planing on releasing anything but internal stuff anymore. It's getting too dangerous to subvert copywrite laws, with all these people going to jail over warez.

"It has been a good few years, but it is now time for Fairlight to close its doors for good. Many reasons have made us come to this judgement but we feel it is for the best. The scene is getting to be a dangerous place. Not only do we have to fear from the feds but also the unhonorable ones in the scene who lower themselves to narq the competition. Retiring on top seems to be the best decision for us. We want to thank all those throughout the years who have helped us in one way or another."

That's a quote from a recent .NFO. It was just a .nfo, no release.

Maybe it's a hoax, hope so.

*Sniff *Sniff, brings back memories of when they were a commodore 64 Cracking crew, met most of the original members when i used to crack games on C64 and used to attend Copy parties in Sweden once a month... Oh happy memories!!!!

Jealous! I didn't get to go to copy parties, had to resort to hacking PBX's so my phonebill wasn't over 800 USD every month. What with the constant BBS usage ;) Well I guess an era has come to an end.

PBX hacking was cool, especially as we'd use to have phone conferencing with about 5 other people around the world at the same time... General Motors must of had a large phone bill when we'd finished out chats!!!

Always used to enjoy cracking the latest games aswell, creating demo's with borderless scrolling, ripping the latest Knob Rubhard (I mean rob hubbard) tune... Got all the tunes on my PC so i can remember the classic tunes with samples, like BMX Kidz, Arcade Classics, Skate or Die, etc.....
