Viewing Downloaded Video Files
The files I download stop after a few seconds of play. For example, the player says that the file is 20 min long but it only plays 1min and stops
. HELP!

Well, this can happen because of a lot of reasons. Some reasons that I can think of while reading your post, are these:
- You have not downloaded the file completly. A good way to solve this to happen again is to make the settings in dc++ so the fully downloaded files get into one directory, and the rest, (not fully downloaded), in another. I can't show you exactly where you fix this, because I'm in school right now
Maybe another one can tell you how to fix that. Maybe you now how to fix it yourself, I don't know
- Something messed up with your player or codecs?
- Maybe you should shut down dc++ before you view that file.
That could be the reason to this problem if that file isn't finsihed.
- The #1 reason....you just have downloaded an incomplete file(!). That happends sometimes, and when that happends to me, I get angry. I wonder why people share incomplete files....that..is...so..stupid! (No reason to swear here or anything
Next time you post, please be more spefific. (not sure about my spelling there, but who cares?)

Assuming your file is a DivX file, try using DivFix to see if any corruption is reported.
