some advice needed
Hi me again i have sused how to convert dvd's from avi mpeg, and so forth, but im not sure if i can burn svcd to dvd, so it will work on my dvd player. is this possible! if so can anyone recommened good software to burn dvd as i dont like using nero. Thanks alot guys.

Thanks for trying to help me. i didnt know that bout svcd working on normal cd-r thanks. but whats the point init as most svcd movies are like way over 700mb, and thats only i half of it, and i can get the dvd-r disks cheaper than the 800mb cd-r's so not worth me doing that i guess. gnuff how u get my ip and know i was running xp hehe, probebly a dumb ass question. tehehe

SVCD and DVD have different video specs. (framesize and audio), if you want to put your avi to DVD it needs to be encoded to DVD MPG and not svcd.
