hey i dont know if this one will get answered quickly, but who knows. Anyway here goes, I recenetly heard of a good programm to back me dvd's up, called Dvd decrypter, wow nice programm by the way, but unfortunatly all my dvd's well most off them are like over the 4.7gb i have to work with. like 6 and 7gb are the size of some of mine, is there ways to get round this if some advanced users knows i will be most gratfeull.

Or is 4.7 gb dvd disk the biggest you can buy?

dont know if this is going to be much help, but...there IS a program that can do exactly that...
a friend of mine told me he had it, but unfortunatly i dont know what the program is called or where to get it unfortunatly...

There is a program called DVD Shrink. With it, you can "pack" DVD to "4.7 GB" (4.36), and then record it... If that's what ya need

The 4.7GB writable DVD's are the biggest you can currently buy. It's called a single layer DVD. Most movies you buy are dual layer, twice the size. (You can however buy dual sided, but that’s different.)
The programs you are asking for would downsample the DVD to the single layer size. You should be able to find many programs just by googling that term.

Soon...maybe...Dual layer writers will be available in the next months and obviously dual layer writable DVD’s would follow. That's what I'm waiting for.
