I was just wondering if you recorded tv shows using a tv tuner card and shared them would it be legal?

Just a thought.

Most likely no, as you do not have the right/permission to distribute them.

Yes. It's the same thing. You still don't have the right to distribute them. I didn't mention any specific media in my initial post.
