BigBrother plugin problem

So I have enabled bigbrother in BigBrother.xml and dchpp.xml but it isn't in userlist. My level is same as bigbrothers commands minlevel and there aren't no typos on dchpp.xml. I can reload BigBrother but it doesn't show up in +help or the userlist. Any idea what is wrong?

What did you set as the <BotNick>? And does it match a nick you've used for another plugin?

Do you log? And if so have you checked in the log file to see if it was loaded or not?

I remember this bug with the initial versions of the big brother plugin, just a typo in the source code. This was fixed though . . . so do you have any idea which version of this plugin you are using ?

From the SVN? It was fixed in about Dec 04 / Jan 05. To be honest i cannot remember what the fix was, other than it was using a wrong text string in the wrong place (XML reading possibly). But if you got from the svn after feb05, that should be fine , and you suffering from a different problem.

Stupid me. I used old BigBrother.xml file which was at least from last february. I updated the xml file and reloaded the plugin and SpyBot nick appeared immediately =). Thanks for the hint Pothead.

i had a prob with BigBrother too once. it used to hang dch++ when i tried to read the last 200 lines etc. so i changed mine to ignore the last 200 lines and write all PMs to a log file for each user spying on.
