0.26 - hub doesnt like fancy names

I register a user called "†™�öþe¥™†" and the hub wouldnt prompt him for a password on joining. I can see his name in access.xml. Whats the deal ?

I've always had problems with nicks and special characters like that. It doesn't really bother me though, I just tell them to use another nick.
