0.15

Post by arnetheduck » 2003-02-07 16:01

I'm just uploading 0.15, same place as 0.14 (replace the version in the link)...
See changelog for updates, a few goodies in there...
The ban lists are still experimental, I haven't proven to myself that it really searches all ranges on a ban (if they overlap...)...
As well as the new OpCom features, completely untested...

nice.. great features arne :)
the (linux) hub hasn't crashed yet..

first note:
the ipmasks are reversed
a.b.c.d/8 -> a.b.c.*
instead of a.*.*.*
(both allowip and banip)

is settings.xml supposed to be missing from the .15 zip? I didn't see it.

Ok got the program downloaded, but I notice settings.xml is missing also which seems to render the hub useless :([/u]

this threw me a curve at first too. look at the dchpp.xml file in the config zip for the settings file.

Users denied access: 41 (122.49/h)
Protocol Violations: 33 (98.59/h)

Whats the deal with this? Sure seems like alot denied for 'protocol violations'

Dont know how this is related, but after I got done watching a movie I noticed 100% cpu usage. About 20% was for dchpp and 80% for vsmon.exe (part of zone alarm pro 3.5). AFter shutting down ZAP, dchpp consumed 100% till it was restarted.

Any ideas what happened?

zone alarm screwed it up?
I don't have a clue, it runs virtually cpu-less on any normal machine without zap so...I suppose you don't have /don't know what a profiler is? (it's a tool that tells what part of an application is using cpu)
(I'm btw considering disabling dc++ if zap is _installed_...it's corrupting downloads unlike any other sw firewall...and turning it off is not enough as it replaces system files...)

SO_REUSEADDR works great, restarting the hub can be done after a few seconds :)
