Why cant you use more than one slot per person? Would you gain anything from being able to download 2 or more files from one person at a time or would this cause problems? Or can you on a program that I ain't using?

Yes you can with other programs, but IMO it's more a bug than a feature. Would you gain anything from it, it would probably be bad.
