Hi,
My name is Stefan POPOVENIUC and I am a first year PhD
student at George Washington University in Washington D.C.
USA. One of my classes is called Open Source Software
Development, and for this class I have to make a
presentation of an open source project, so I choose DC++.
I have visited the web pages from
http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/, I have also read many of
the postings on the forum
http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/forum ... um.php?f=3,
however I have some question that I was not able to answer,
maybe you can help. The questions are:
- What do they use to track bugs? Projects like mozilla and
related (firefox, caminno, geko) use bugzilla.
- What do they use to drive releases? (maybe Bonsai, LXR,
Tinderbox? Do you branch from the main CVS trunk and get a
stable version or use just the head of he trunk ?)
- How does the project solve the conflicts between
members?( one member takes the decision, equal voting,
proportional voting, free discussion and consensus, etc)
- How many members are involved directly, and how many
peripherally?
As a last thing, if you have a small history of the project
(how did the project come to be), I would appreciate a copy![]()
I would really appreciate your answers,
Stefan

Has anyone else received this email and if so, has anyone responded?
