I'd like to see a version of DC++ that can support webcams, as i'm connected to my users over a local network with 100mb/s bandwith it would easily be supported by our network, i'd like to see and chat to my users while downloading files from them. I'd also like to see some dc++ hub software that can support this feature.
Thx

Well, if anyone ever put in this feature in a DC client, i sure as hell hope they won't be running it over the hub, but straight from client to client. That being said, DC++ isn't really a chatting program, it's a filesharing program. The chat function is more of a bonus. I'm sure there are webcam programs you can use on your LAN, google.

There are plenty of other programs that let you video conference, and they'd likely be alot more efficient with more features then anything put into dc++ would have. Basically i dont see it being worth effort putting in a feature that useless, and yes I do mean useless you're talking about putting it on a local LAN, which means most likely the person you're chatting to is less the 100metres away, why not go for a small walk.

Just to let you know, there's an official (or quasi) No vote here.
Instant Messenging applications and conferencing programs are written for just this purpose - they want to do the job, and will do so far better than we ever could.
