Different Share For Different Hubs

Post by Spartibus » 2004-05-13 15:04

Hello. I think it would be a great feature if you could customize your share for individual hubs.

Many of my favorite hubs have rules such as "only music is allowed in your share" or "only anime is allowed in your share, nothing else" and for obvious reasons most of the time I can only go into one of these hubs at a time.

If there was a feature that you could specify different directories to share for individual hubs (like in the favorites list, maybe) then it would make things alot easier and increase downloading/uploading.

I don't know if this would be hard to implement, but this feature would be really useful to me and I'm sure alot of other people. I can't think of any downsides to this, either.

If you need me to clarify, let me know. I can be pretty illiterate :p

I'm sorry if this has been suggested before; my search to see if it was was half-assed.

edit: it would also save people from having to change their share through settings every time they wish to join a type of hub listed above, as that's become an annoyance :o

The fact that you took the time to make the request is appreciated, but this particular feature is a rejected feature as mentioned in the following sticky thread (which you should have read before submitting a request):

http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/forum ... php?t=8763

The ins and outs of it have also been discussed in a number of threads previously. I suggest you read up on those to see why it has been rejected.

After reading the information, if you have any further comments please add them to one of the existing threads.
