Connection type per hub

We're having a lan's hub where everybody can acces in active mode with their internal IP (192.168.x.x) and also on external hubs (shared internet connection with port forwarding) with external ip & user port. But if we connect with the external IP & port to the lan's hub all the trafic will be through internet instead of being through lans's switches.

I think a connection type per hub would solve this sort of problems, i'm i right?
Example (let's say to favorites):
Address: 192.168.1.1:411
Connection type:
Active: Ip: Port:
Passive:

Is it possible to be implemented?

Connection type is just a text, that won't help

I think this feature could be possible, but a lot of work to implement. I think the smartest thing is just to run two clients, one for the internal hub and one for external ones.

Got it, i'll use two clients until developers will have no more ideas how to improve it for general users.

This has been suggested before, and is thus in the pool of features that people might code. It is absolutely not a feature for general users, it's a very power user/niche feature. Mostly for those with hubs on large LANs who also want to connect to hubs on the internet.

Two clients will fill this role until/if the per-hub active/passive setting is coded.
