Search Delay Timer

Post by MrZoidberg » 2003-03-01 11:29

Ok, here is suggestion for you guys...

I was thinking that it would be good to have a timer on the
searches you can perform in DC++.
What I mean is, If I search for something and then search
again right after that, then the second search is not sent until
a set time has passed. That would prevent people for being
banned for search spamming, and take a load of the hubbs.

I could not find this suggested before, but if it has been
then I'm sorry :)

Thanks.....

Opera has this in oDC++, and I believe it's called "Safe Search." Additionally, you have to worry about the auto-search for alternates searches.
