I thought a feature that allows user to block private messages from someone other.

my trick is just to leave the pm window open in the background, that way its not constantly popping up over everything else being annoying.

Settings > Advanced > Open new PM window in the background.

That said, a kind of /ignore function might come in handy from time to time... although I personally never felt the need for it.
