This is not quite a request for a new feature, but an observation about the way dc++ works when downloading something from the search results.
I was looking for several things and found them both at the same user by using two searches. After selecting the first for download dc++ started with downloading his filelist, which makes sense. When i told dc++ to download the second, dc++ downloaded his filelist again, which is a bit of a waste of bandwith.
Maybe there is a way that dc++ can check if it already has the filelist, and if so see if it is the same, or take a chance if that filelist is downloaded recently?
i'm using dc++ v0.24

i do not understand what you say actually, or atleast i can't make it happen in my client. Search, then click on "Download" and you will never download his filelist.

Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

mmmmm....
seems to me we're doing the same thing. let me be a bit more specific:
1. search for something
2. download (in my case it was a directory)
3. search for something else
4. download (again directory, from same user)
note that i didn't download his filelist beforehand (could it be you did that to try and reproduce?) i'll try reproducing it myself as well....

yep, sounds like a good idea,
note that the old list will have to be discarded if his/hers myinfo sharesize changes

and what about moving files around? that would also break things. but how often? maybee almost never....
And yes, when searching for directory and then clicking download, then the dc-client doesn't know what files is in the directory, and it can only find this out by downloading the file-list. And iäm not sure if it saves it in the filelist-dir. but that can easily be checked...
