Two little (?) feature requests

Post by fs » 2003-06-15 01:27

Hi,

I know my first request may sound kinda silly, but it would br great to have the possibility to bring some windows "to the desktop". To be more clear: do you the option in the mIRC iRC client that allows you to make a window separate itself from the rest of the program, gaining its own space in the taskbar? It would be great to have that in DC++ (at least with the provate message windows =)

My 2nd request regard the settings window (the Share tab to be more specific). Instead of the list of chosen folders, it would be great the entire directory tree of your computer with tickboxes (like in the eMule eDonkey client). It would be easier to choose folders =)

Excluding these points, everything fine woth DC++ ;)

Keep up the good work

I would love the tickbox feature when selecting folders to share...

Also being able to roatate sharing lists at certian hours would be nice, or certian days of the week

pausing downloads would be great

an option to turn uploading off just for awhile (say i wanna play some q3)

Well, I haven't seen this before. It's probably worth doing at some point, but DC++ is a file sharing application, and although chatting is a big portion of DC++ too, if it gets made to look more like a chat program, the feature request list will probably grow by a lot. ;)

This is in the Requested Feature tracker at sourceforge. With a little looking, you can find the number/link. However, it's still on the todo list. :)
