Ehen you are in a hub with many users in, about 5000, does dc have a very high cpu usage. About 50-70%, i think this have to do with the updateing of the userlist, if you could increase the time between updating it the cpu usage should lower. ( If itÃ‚Â´s th userlist updating that couses this at all).

But if it is so, shouldn't it be possible to makee the client update its userlist, say only every 10 recivement from the hub?

probably...

but wouldnt it be more thinkfull to make hub not send the new users info and send it only upon clients request ?
this would save bandwidth and had been request to hub maker.
but implimentation also involve clients for the request userlist part.

by the way if i remember correctly DC++ refresh the userlist only each hour (note that i could be wrong on this one).

by probably i mean:
it probably not solve the bandwidth problem(even receiving data use cpu time), and how much speed would be gain by just droping the info instead of processing it ?
