restart d++ just because u change the settings....

Post by Jo.King » 2003-11-02 18:29

I started using D++ and had to get used to it.
Now I've gotten used to it and I like it. I would just like to know why do I have to restart d++ when I change for example the amount of shares.
Or this beening worked on?

For this, you do not have to. Type "/refresh" in any chat window, or wait until the share is automatically refreshed every hour.

Off the top of my head, there are very few settings that require a restart. The only thing I can think of right now is the display font/colours.

In the settings, the only options that it says that you should restart DC++ for are those on the appearance page. However, that's not entirely true. You just must close down each hub window and open them again for them to take.

In addition to the /refresh command, 0.300 and above have a File > Refresh File List command.

If you add a directory in the Sharing Settings, no refresh is necessary, that is automatic.
