Automatically Disconnect DL

Post by uzuki » 2003-02-04 20:06

How about a feature that automatically disconnects a DL if it falls below a certain (user selectable) threshold. I often leave my computer on overnight while connected to hubs only to return to my computer and have all my download slots being taken up by really low (i.e. 500bytes/second) connections. It'd be great DC++ would automatically disconnect users with little bandwidth to spare so my download slots could be put to better use.

Another option would be to automatically remove user from queue if a download falls bellows a pre-set rate.

Another option still would be to open up another download slot automatically if overall DL speed drops below a certain threshold.

Just to make myself clear, I’m talking about disconnecting downloads, not uploads =)

Any thoughts?

I think that would be a good feature. I've always wanted something like this myself. Auto-disconnect downloads then auto-dequeue them too. And also if possible have this option enabled by default but can be ignored for certain (rare) files that the user specifies.
