There is a bug on DC protocol, whenever you try to download a file with $ in its path or filename, DC++ thinks it's a token, so when downloading, it will say "file not available".

If it's not possible to change DC protocol, at least it should be removed from the list.

filenames with illegal characters such as $ are removed from the share list in DC++. Did you happen to catch which client he was using?

he was using 0.263, and i'm using 0.305

That being said, he can't be using any normal version of DC++ past 0.232. I don't know how NMDC or DCGUI treat the $ in filenames, but if he's showing a DC++ PK, then he's a faker.

is there the possibility that developers had forgotten to remove directories too? because it's not on the filename, but on the path to the file.
