Search for alters for more than one file/dirs!

Post by MenaLutherian » 2004-01-12 14:51

Hi!

Ive opend this topics, to ask if dc has this function or any of the dc-s?
Is there a function like this in dc++ is it possible to do this, or would it be a new feature?
I think that everyone would want a search fol alters in auto that searches for every file in the queue for an alternative file on all the hubs u r on.
This would be helpfull for i have a queue that is full of 10k-10m files there are more than a 1000 of these small ones and i dont want to give the search for them 1by1 that would be a looooooong time. Is there a way to do this "the easy way" not fully automatic cuz there is maybe a mistakes if the file is not fully the same, but if it could start a search for the files and if it is not fully the same promt me what to do, that would be great! Am i being egoistic or what?  Anyone has an id? 8)

Thx MenaL

isn't search string customizable so that you can do multiple searches with one search? ie right click a folder full of rar files and you can change all the search strings at once to something more generic
