A feature i believe would be greatly received would be automatic virus scanning of completed downloads. Such as the way MSN messanger calls up Norton or McAfee when you finish recieving attachments.

Most virus scanners automatically scan new files that are created on your computer (ok, not inside a compressed file). DC++ isn't like kazza where a good portion of the files are viruses/worms.

IMO, this isn't a needeed feature

How about a more generic "Do action X when a file is finished" with virus scanning being one particular example of X?

I can't think of any other examples of X at this moment in time, but I'm sure they exist.

Passing a fileset onto Winrar to extract is the only other thing I can think of ATM.

simple examples: a (3d party) sfv-check and deploy-program is not that uncommen.

Regardless of merit, it's been suggested before:

[ 665801 ] Perform Actions after a file is down or uploaded

Configurability would be needed since not everyone uses the same AV program - not everyone has resident scanning enabled, either.

This was useful back in the BBS days, I imagine that people will find a variety of interesting uses for it.
