Hi, i use dc since years without any problem, but yesterday I installed a ethernet modem with integrated firewall. Now dc++ doesn't work normally in passive mode if I don't indicate my ip adress.
Problem is : I'm disconnected every 24 hours, so my ip change.
So I think about modifying source code to automatically check my ip when I launch dc++. I don't think that's very difficult since I've already modified source code, but if someone already did that, that could be even more quick.

I found it useless since dc++ already support alot of guessing in its code and dynamic-dns if you have a dns-client updating it.
Everyone is supposed to download from the hubs, - I don´t know why, but I never do anymore.

Maybe but I really don't want to install a dns-client just to use dc++...

He did.
1. UPnP if your modem and OS support it
2. Dynamic hostnames, along with an automatic updater program.
