I'm new at DC++ programming and have not yet managed to get a successful compile.
I have tried stlport-4.5.3-dcpp.zip and v4.6.
I have found other people with the same problem but can't firgure out how to install stlport.
I am using VC7.0
Any help would be great.
Thanks Cypher

Read the compile.txt, you are going to have to do some alterations using VC 7.0

If you have not figured out how to install stlport, how can you have tried both of them.
It should be listed before other includes. This is stated in compile.txt.
Do you have a screenshot of your includes.

Looks fine..stlport 4.6 should be the one for DC++ V0.305.

I had the exact same problem with stlport 4.6, the 4.5.3 (I think) made the compiler spew some other silly errors, so I tried one of the previous versions of stlport for dcpp and it worked without a hitch. Try searching this board for a link I don't remeber the exact version but I found it here.

It doesn't need "installing". It's just a collection of source files that you include in your project, which you have already done, as evidenced by the screenshot.

Switched to DCPlusPlus-STLPort-4.6 and now fully working.
Thanks for all the help

I think all the people who are trying to link against stlport*.lib are using the version off of their website, and not the modified/configured version that Arne puts up for download.
*shrugs*

The modified/configured version of 4.6 is not on the main DC++ download page, that's why i was using the wrong version from
www.stlport.com
Now that i have found it i am happy.

Oh? Hmmph.
http://sf.net/projects/dcplusplus/ is what I've always considered the main page, but I guess not all users know about that. Maybe with the new layout, the dependencies will be more up to date.

I would imagine that most users would use
http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net seeing as that it what DC++ itself points to.
As you say, hopefully the new site will integrate things alot better and get rid of such inconsistencies.
