Right click - search for alternative -> wrong searchword

Post by deepdown » 2004-01-10 18:12

original file name; x-someting.001

When I try to select files, and select
"search for alternatives"

the search engine looks for:
x something 001

..then it adds up alle the files its found with name&size and adds that to download list.

When I check with sfv-checker later on, its shows that alto of the files been downloaded have wrong checksum.
It actually downloaded the wrong file! :shock:

instead of just downloading the filename;
x-something.001

it also started downloading files like;
w-something.001 (which has the same size)
t-something.001
etc..

This is the exact same topic as this post.

Perhaps you can collaborate with redlight, or he can send his patch to arne to see if all DC++ users will benefit from it.

I think keeping the ability to not mach certain files, yet maintaining some fuzziness with the filename, is a hard balance, and I'm not sure what's best for everyone. (but arne might =)
