For what is a script?

Which hub software is the best? Where can I find script XXX? Discuss it here...(no, this is not for advertising your hub...)

Hi, for what is a script , I just don't get it. Why do I need to use a script?

If you ran a hub with scripting features, you would know. Otherwise you don't have to worry.

a script can be for enable extra functionality to a hub ...

such as information , games , security , connectivity ... and whatever u might think of ... apart coffee-making ... thats up to u :)
