Still looking for a script

Which hub software is the best? Where can I find script XXX? Discuss it here...(no, this is not for advertising your hub...)

Still looking for a script

Post by §weetybee » 2003-03-16 00:26

Hi, Im still looking for a add on to the generalbot0241 script, that will allow my powerops to be able to redirect all the users (at one time) from one host to the other. Can anyone help, i really need this. :?:
Also is there anyway of not having the banned nicks going into the hub software? Is it also possible to add to the script a hub masmassage?

Thanks §weetybee

I'm too close to my bed to answer the fisrt part of your question today (besides, I don't know Gadget's much). To prevent the banned nicks in the main chat, disable kicking with the Gadget's HubMod and intercept the kick command in the script. The third question is easy : http://gadget.no-ip.info/scripts/Hub-Ma ... age.script (You definitely should have found this one by yourself  )

Hi, Marvin,
Thanks for responding to my request, hope u have a good sleep :) I dont think U understand what it is im looking for.....I dont want the banned nicks on my hub software. The script puts the names on the hub software, it make the banned user need a password to get in which they dont know what it is as it's the date and time of the ban. I would like to know it this could go to a seperate file, as not to lag the hub. I would also like to know if its possible to have the masmassage added right into the Generalbot script so its not a stand alone script. And ofcourse, my first request, of a addon to the scprit for a redirect all users. I hope i was more clear this time. :)

Thanks §weetybee

At some point, you'll need to check the banned users to decide if you kick them or keep them.
If you want them to go into a seperate file, it might make things even slower, as files (no matter how fast your hard drive is) take much longer to access than the system's memory =)

However, if you don't want them in the registered users of the hub software, you can store them in a dictionary instead (and, why not, have it backed up to a file each time a new name is added, so you can reload it at hub start =).
