i want to run a file sharing server on my mac running mac os 9.1 :shock:

I presume that's why you're still on 9.1 instead of 9.2.2. Alternately, you could try the one Java hub: Shasta. It might work, or work well. If you're not actively using the computer, you could always get Debian or Yellow Dog linux and use one of the linux based hubs, after recompiling it for PPC.

I'm bouncing this topic to the proper forum, too... but I'll leave a Shadow so you don't think it got BALEETED.

But that's OS X only, Butterfly. At least, I think it's native and not just a carbonized app that will run on both OSX and OS9.

I don't know what the terminal refers to, in a mac context, but I assumed it was something similar to Dos for win platforms, so it sounded like it just might have worked (the GUI-less version, which should be run Ã‚Â«from the terminalÃ‚Â» is what I linked to). Obviously, it doesn't work like this at all, but at the time I posted, it really made sense, I swear :wink:
