Ok. IÃ‚Â´t might not be a spyware, but a lot of people arte getting dif ferent types of problems with these little suckers. Do a search on the net and check differnt forums! The worst problem seems to be the search bar that comes with" the package". It tries to take over whether you lik it or not . But I gess you can uninstall the shit.

Sorry to dissapoint you but I,m not. As I wrote, Smileys are probably not a spyeware but seems to give the users different software problems. Please also check www.eagle-wing.net/ClicPicks/Internet/Spam-07.shtml about the websearch " My Web Search" that is included when you install smileys on your computer.

. As you wery well know, you are givien the opportunity to include smileys with any message on this forum. I have never said that this will install them on your computer What i am saying is that DC++ obviously in some way is connected to a program, the smileys, which gives other users unneccesary problems. Maybe we should not support such a program?

Perhaps a more clearer explanation, seeing as the rest of us just aren't getting what you're saying.

1. What do you mean by "Smileys"? How are you defining it?
2. How do these "smileys" cause problems for users?
3. How are these "smileys" related to DC++?

Maybe if you answer each of those questions clearly, people will better understand what you are trying to say.

I think the author of this had gotten something wrong and thinks all smileys comes from that smiley pack, which they definatly NOT do.

Smileys are those little yellow faces to the left that you find when you write a message here on this forum. They are often reffered to as Spyware in forums where you discuss this matter.

Please check www.eagle-wing.net/ClickPicks/Internet/Spam-07.shtml. for a description of Smiley central. You can also do a search for "smilies spyware" and check out the result. There seems to be different problems with smilies popping upp where they should not be, for example. How they are connected to DC++ i dont know. They might even have another source than Smiley central

You are obviously confusing a Browser/E-mail plug-in product that allows you to use "smileys" provided by some 3rd party server with the underlying technology of embedding a graphic in text like this:

It is possible that some of the above mentioned plug-in products do contain spyware so you should be careful about using those.
