I recieved a CD-R or RW, not sure which, which wasn't recognised by any CD+DVD ROM drives- it said drive was empty. But it worked on a CD burner. I reburnt the disc onto a new CD-R, and all the CD/DVD drives recognised this one...
why did the drives not recognise the first CD?
was it the original CD-R quality etc? the original CD burner?
thx
CD-Rs?

This looks like a question that those specializing in CD-RWs can cover: http://www.cdrfaq.org/
I did a short glance, and couldn't find an obvious match to your question.
