Video viewing problems.

I downloaded a movie last week, checked it and it was fine - top quality picture and sound. Have gone to watch it and its now saying encountered and unknown error or error downloading disc. The sound is there, just no picture. Have since checked all my movies and they are the same.

Please help - I haven't a scooby what to do.

perhaps you have uninstalled the codec in question
Download GSpot ( www.google.com ) and run a test on the file. It will let you know what codec(s) you're missing.
