Converting .OGG to MPEG ?

Post by The Toe Cutter » 2004-08-19 05:56

ok so I've searched everywhere and stil can't get this .OGG file to MPEG so I can burn it to DVD. I was told that software called Vdubmod will do this, but I can;t even open my OGG file ...it says " cannot detect file type". Read somewhere else to rename my OGG file to "XXX.AVI" for example and try to open, still no luck.

The .OGG file plays fine in windows media player, but I would like to get it on DVD so I can play it on standalone dvd player.

Can any expert or someone who knows what to do help me ? Just point me in teh right direction if you can..
Thanks

Well, to get the OGG into a format that can be played on a DVD player, you probably need to transcode it to MPEG1 or MPEG2 - www.doom9.org should have guides for one of them.
