This guy has posted several times now, the exact same thing. He's gotten a response in two of those threads, but doesn't seem to get it... now he PM'ed me the same thing, because i closed one of his threads. I responded with this, but i'm not sure he'll get it anyway (in case he PM's anyone else).

Right.

You've posted 4 times about the exact same thing, and you've gotten a response to 2 of those threads. There is nothing else we can help you with.

Here, i'll spell it out:

YOUR FAVORITE HUB SETTINGS ARE GONE FOREVER. YOU CANNOT RECOVER THEM. IF YOU WANT YOUR PASSWORDS BACK YOU WILL HAVE TO TALK TO THE OWNER OF THOSE HUBS. STOP WASTING OUR TIME.

Now go away.

No, I don't think you're too harsh. His question(s) are ambiguous. First he talks about his XP installation, then he switches to talk about his "favs" in DC++.

I see no other way to get him to understand than to either do what you just did or to be quiet. By using the first alternative you have at least given him the chance to read what you write.

If he doesn't do that - there is nothing more you can do for him I'm afraid.
