Norton antivirus 2005 blocking & alerting on dc++ traffi

Hi,
I never had this problem with dc++ 0.403, but with the new dc++ version, Norton AV 2005 is constantly alerting, blocking any traffic and asking if I want to block or permit the traffic, even I've choose "always permit" in NAV settings.. The only solution I've found is to disable internet worm protection, but I don't want that! There are also fine settings to allow or exclude protocols or ports but I need some more help for it...

i have the exact same problem i cant search or nothing only way u stop this is by as u say disabling the work protection

could some 1 fix this asap plz it only happens with the new version

The direct solution (as stated by the thread starter) is to disable internet worm protection. If it's not smart enough to discern DC++ traffic from an actual threat, how good is it anyway?

(btw, I'm running norton 2005 and gave up on the new 'worm protection' until they fix it)

The question that should be asked is, why can't many companies make a decent firewall that doesn't crap out if an application is upgraded?

Have you deleted all rules for DC++ and had norton recreate them?
