Any WMV files wont work for me. Quicktime will give an error message, Windows Media Player will not do anything. DivX wont see it, Realone will freeze. I have Windows ME. (also sometimes this thing called Mplayer2 will freeze). Please help!

but then comes the fact that you were given a link to another thread were both gspot was advised by Todi and VLC was advised by me, and I even gave a link to a newer version.

Gasman1015, maybe you should have added some text saying "Open this:" since The Alzoz must've thought it was there for decoration.

why am I even bothering?...

Yes, I get the same feeling of pure frustration from users not searching, before asking.

Gasman1015: I get the feeling your more interested in the credit rather than helping PPL's solve there comp problems. The pll who make the Progs like "VLC" should be getting the credit not me or you. I have to agree with smated ppl want more than just a link shoved in there face (no matter how fantastic the information is at the end of it).

Much as I should just let Gasman choose whether and how to respond:

I wholeheartedly agree. Just look at the unrepentant narcissist's statements' flimsy basis:

Really, and clicking on a URL? That's too much to expect of these modern folk.

Shame, shame on you for leeching credit from VLC's authors, Gasman.

Hmm. Getting credit for answering questions from a complete stranger, who will most likely never show themselves in these forums ever again? Now that's the stuff that dreams are made of.

Want me to hold your hand?. Just the bare fact that thousands of people go in here - and throws questions they haven't thought through for one minute - and somebody actually cares to answer it is pretty amazing in my book. And they do it in their spare time. I applaud all of you in here that has the patience of helping others with whatever it may be. I take the opportunity to say thanks to all of you (Especially those of you that help me with my lame programming attempts, you know who you are - thank you)
