DC++ client 401 hang up or ??

It seems that when DC++ Client 401 decides to send an email, all by itself, my hub/client hangs and therefore stops hub from serving.

How do I know,, well I have ZA that tells me that DC++ wants access to the internet to send mail.

Have any of you experienced this problem or know of the problem and its resolution??
