can you be more especifique
im going to explain better the situation. by mistake i erased my download queue and they went gone of my computer. But with recover my files i recovered them and now i want to continue download the previuosly download that i have before i erased them. I search the same file with the exact sime tth root and then i made downoad to the file i recover. the download does not start not from the percentege that was before, not heaven from the beginning. A friend told me that this operation was possible because when he formats the disk of his computer and he left files to download in dc ++, he starts again in a new fresh copy of windows and dc++ and he can finish downloading the files that he left beyind by making download to to the file with the same tth root and size .
i hope you can help me please because there are 15 files to finish downolad and some of them take months to download. Sincerily greatiful.

Try Download to... to the folder containing the incompletes.

There aren't many movies that people are allowed to distribute, so I'm very wary of helping you.

The FAQ is version agnostic. Follow it.

Doesnt Right Click -> properties list the size down to the byte?

distribution implies an unequal relationship

Try doing this. take out the TTH from the filename, it's a long bunch of capital letters and numbers, don't rename the file, just copy the TTH. Do a TTH search with them and you should get the right results. Right click on one and "download to... browse..." and select the file you already got, don't select the wrong one.
And you may need to do a backup.
DC++ also have a good rollback feature that will get you a good file, but make sure the TTH is the right one when it's finished.

I don't care, as long as it's legal. Or not illegal. Nobody we've made a moderator here will willingly become a party to someone else's copyright infringement.

Can you be more specific than "doesn't work"? How does it fail? What error messages show up in the Download Queue's Error column?
Edit:
mesca wrote:i use antifragmentation method and the exact file size are the same in boths.
If you use the antigragmentation method, you either have to download the files from scratch, or use a hex editor and chop off the (presumably zero-filled) data that hasn't been downloaded yet. Not everyone is going to be able to do this, that's why there are some warnings about using the antifragmentation download option. From the help file:
The drawbacks are a short pause at the start of every download during which the drive space is reserved, less drive space being available while you are downloading, and possibly losing progress on your download if Windows crashes and DC++ cannot exit cleanly.

well GargoyleMT, im going to explain the better i can. I have antifragmentation download on. I search the file with tth root and then apear the file with the exact tth root and size that i have recovered and then i "download to" "browse" into the folder that contains the file i want to overwrite and point to it. And in the download queue doesnt apear anything and the download does not start from the percentage that was before, not heaven from the begining. I tried doing what was in the faq about downloading without queue but because i use antifragmentation method i can t Know the exact file size that i already downloaded. I go to proprietes of the file to see the exact size but just apears the siize of the complete download, if it was already all downloaded. Can you explain me how to continue my download without queue.

He just told you that. By having the anti-fragmentation feature enabled DC++ won't be able to resume the file as it need to know how much you have downloaded t obe able to resume correctly. You have some options 1. use some hex editor and try to locate where the download did stop, as Gargoyle said everything after where the download stopped will probably just be zeroes. If you manage to do that you can eighter try to chop of the file at that point and try to resume it (I think you would have to remove the .antifrag extensions from the files too) or you could edit queue.xml setting downloaded=X to the correct value.
Or you could just restart the downlaods fro mthe beginning.

PseudonympH wrote:In theory, the advanced TTH resume should allow you to resume even an antifrag file, provided the file you're trying to download to is smaller than the remote file (because otherwise it won't let you queue the file...).
I was thinking the same thing when I read the latest posts. So all he needs to do is turn off anti-frag, chop off some bytes in the end and do the resume thing.
I wonder if that would work.
*UPDATE* Well it worked. I started an antifrag download, moved the file and the download then tried to resume, didn't work. Chopped off some bytes (very time consuming btw), resumed again and it worked. So now we know that.
