Shared files - virtual filesystem in filelist

Post by ladybugs » 2006-05-08 14:56

It would be wonderful to support a virtual filesystem for one's own
filelist. This would make the structure of directories in the filelist
indipendent from the physical drives and directories. As an example, the
following is an example of what I'd like to accomplish: all the
directories are merged into one, and files that aren't shareable
do not appear in the filelist (the Copyrighted Band mp3).

[PHYSICAL FILESYSTEM DIRECTORIES]
    Creative Commons Music
      A Sharing Band - Share Our Song.mp3
      Richard Stallman - I Sing, You Play.mp3
    Public Domain Music
      Beethoven - Symphony 2
Beethoven II Symph - Movement 1.mp3
Beethoven II Symph - Movement 2.mp3
Beethoven II Symph - Movement 3.mp3
Beethoven II Symph - Movement 4.mp3
    Personal Music Folder
      A Sharing Band - Enjoy.mp3
      Copyrighted Band - You Can't Share This.mp3

[FILELIST VIEW]
    Sharable Music
      A Sharing Band - Enjoy.mp3
      A Sharing Band - Share Our Song.mp3
      Beethoven - Symphony 2
Beethoven II Symph - Movement 1.mp3
Beethoven II Symph - Movement 2.mp3
Beethoven II Symph - Movement 3.mp3
Beethoven II Symph - Movement 4.mp3
      Richard Stallman - I Sing, You Play.mp3

Why am I asking this? Because different hub owners want your share
organized differently (especially for top-level directories); recently
it's getting impossible for me to make everyone happy. A flexible
filelist structure would solve the problem nicely...

What do you think about this?

And, of course, different shares for different hubs are sorely needed
(and not only for porn)!
