I would like to monitor traffic generated from DC++ especially file downloads/upploads as a graph.

I currently use Trafmeter but will switch to the free Analyzer as soon its in a more finished state.

For it to work I would like dc++ to use predefiened local ports. Although I run in active mode the specified port isn't always used at all, why ?

Because if you don't have a port specified, it'll pick a random port between 1025 and 32000 to get around some of the dumber firewalls and port throttling schemes. (the revision that started this is mentioned in the changelog.txt)

Just input a port in your settings, and...

Well I have specified a port under settings/active but it doesn't always work. Connection to the hub gets another local port but this ok. I would like to lock uploads to this port also. Then I could separate dc++ uploads and downloads to graph.

dc++ uses the specified port only for incoming connections, so when you upload to a passive user it opens a random local port for an outgoing connection

some bandwidth limiting programs show network traffic using graphs and they don't need to specify ports, you can use windows task manager to see your network utilization also
