strange timeout dc++

hi to all forum..

i write in this forum because in the support section i haven't received a answer.

excuse for my bad english.. i have a strange problem:
i have a desktop packard bell dual core pentium d 915 without installed some firewall - antivirus and i have a simply modem ADSL usb and Win XP media center. If I Use dc++ in active mode the search is ok, while the download go to timeout. If setting passive mode the downloads are ok.

How is possible this.. not work in active setting??

I've formatted the pc and i installed win xp sp1 and i've used ready dc++ and without windows firewall.. always downloads are timeout.
i have installed also idc 2.0... always timeout.

How I do???

p.s.
I've the notebook whit winxp sp2 and on this connection adsl, with like modem, all work in active mode...
