how do i even get started??? my connection is refused

i can get connected to even find a hub... says my connection is refused by target computer... what do i do???

Do you know you posted in the developers help forum?

As to your problem, try connecting to a few other hubs, as it seems that the hub you were trying to connect to was not running.

The Shadows must have done something to your brain. Try passive. That should work unless your ISP is interfering. If it works, you must not have configured active mode correctly. Check the FAQ, you just need to forward tcp/udp to your computer and put in your external IP if you're behind a router.

(Once upon a time, I made Babylon 5 ships in Lightwave, I can only assume your nick is derived from Michael Garibaldi from the same show. :))

This advice is predicated on the ssumption that you're connecting to a hub, but aren't getting a user list. If you meant that your public hub list isn't showing up (except for a message saying SF can't provide the hub list anymore), then read the sticky post in some of the other forums.
